Jessica Ansert Klami Named Partner at Young/Sommer LLC

Jessica Ansert Klami has been named Partner at Young/Sommer LLC. The accomplishment is recognition for Jessica’s exceptional skill at navigating New York’s permitting processes for wind and solar projects. Since joining Y/S, Jessica has represented the developers of the first wind and solar projects to achieve permits under Public Service Law Article 10 and, more recently under New York’s new siting process for large scale renewable energy projects under Executive Law Section 94-c. In total, Jessica has obtained permits for almost 1 GW of wind and solar projects and is one of the most knowledgeable energy attorneys in the State. Jim Muscato, the Chair of the Firm’s Energy Practice stated “Jessica has been a significant contributor to New York State’s nation-leading vision of combating climate change through her successful development of wind and solar projects. She has been a driving force and I am thrilled to be a colleague of hers.” In addition to excelling in project permitting, Jessica has extensive experience assisting developers in construction and operation of wind projects and advising clients on permitting and regulatory compliance. Jessica received admission to the New York State Bar in 2010 and has been with the firm since 2016, before that she worked as a civil litigation attorney in all aspects of litigation.
